ABOUT US

Indigenous Millennials is an apparel and accessories brand with the mission to bring awareness to Ancient African traditions, culture, and style through fashion expression and with a modern flair.

Indigenous Millennials was founded in January 2018 by Danni McGhee. When she was a young girl, her grandmother and aunt taught her how to sew. Though she did not continue to sew throughout her childhood, in her adult years, she found her way back to her sewing machine.

She was gifted a beautiful fabric from a friend who visited Nigeria. She was so inspired by the fabric, she created a long shirt with a high split for her 34th birthday. She wore it to a ball honoring Ghana's 60th anniversary, and she received so many compliments on her outfit that she wanted to create more clothes for herself and others.

In January 2018, she spent a lot of time playing around with some ideas on a new outfit for herself. Before she knew it, she has created a few unique designs, and the desire to open an online boutique blossomed.

Indigenous Millennials is black-owned, woman-operated company based in Southeast Washington, DC. We offer a wide range of clothing styles & accessories for women, men, and children. We also feature metaphysical tools for you to use to incorporate into your spiritual practices.

Though, we are an online boutique, we do host pop-up shops regularly. Click here to see where we'll be next!
