FAQ

  • What Does It Mean to Eat A Plant-Based Diet?
A plant-based vegan diet consisted of the following foods types: Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds, Legumes & Whole Grains. No meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey, or other animal by-products are consumed when eating a plant-based vegan diet.
  • What's the DIfference Between Plant-Based & Vegan?
Vegan is a lifestyle that is conscious of living compassionately without hurting other beings in the process. Vegans do not eat, wear or consume any animal by-products. As far as diet is concerned, vegans will eat foods that may contain soy or other processed foods as long as they contain no animal by-products. Eating a plant-based diet means you only eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, and whole grains. Soy is typically not included in this because in it is usually presented as tofu or other processed meat/dairy substitutes. Processed foods (with added chemicals and unknown substances) are not always plant-based because it is not naturally found in nature that way. Also, typically, plant-based describes someone's diet, not their lifestyle.
  • Danni, Why Did You Go Vegan?"
I went vegan accidentally! Back in 2014, I was on a journey to lose weight and had hit a plateau. I signed up for a 21 day plant-based vegan challenge to possibly give my body the boost it needed to continue losing weight. After a 3 days, I lost 4 pounds. I was detoxing like crazy and felt so much lighter! I had experienced digestive issues for a number of years and was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) in 2007. It was until I starting keeping a plant-based diet, I had suffered with the pain and discomfort that came with IBS. I was definitely motivated at this point to continue on for the full 21 days. Then there was Day 11 on the challenge. I binged on all the food & health documentaries available at the time. Coincidentally, I had been carrying around the Forks Over Knives documentary with me since 2012 when a customer of mine gave it to me. I disregarded it until it was suggested to watch it. I was in tears watching it because I felt as though I had been poisoning my body for the last 30+ years! After experiencing how eating a plant-based diet made me feel and learning about the effects of eating meat, dairy, eggs and other processed had on my body, the animals, and the environment, I knew I could not turn back. I have now been eating a plant-based vegan diet since July 14, 2014... Cold (Vegan) Turkey! Read more about my story here: http://damgoodvegan.wixsite.com/damgoodvegan/about
  • Why Is It Important to Cleanse Your Colon?
We do not always eat the healthiest and may consume things like processed foods, alcohol, sugar, etc. Those substances creates mucus in our body because that is our body's natural defense mechanism to protect us. That mucus can harden over time and clog our digestive track, blocking nutrient absorption. If you have not intentionally detoxed your colon, you may be missing out on all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in the healthy foods you're consuming. A colon detox should be done with plant-based foods and natural supplements. We offer a colon detox program to assist you with getting the boost you need to jumpstart your journey to improved health & wellness. Colon Detox 3-Week Course is an online self-guided course with the support you need to complete our colon detox program. See more information at www.ReadyToGoVegan.com.
  • What is a Juice Cleanse & How Often Should I Do It?
Juice cleansing is a great way to detox by giving your digestion a rest. During this rest time, your body will be able to start to heal. You will notice detox symptoms like frequent urination, skin breakouts, larger bowel movements, or fatique, but these symptom are only temporary. They are also a sign that the toxins and parasites are attempting to leave your body. This is a great sign! After the detox symptoms pass, you will experience increased energy, a clear mind, more focus, better sleep quality, clear skin, plus more! Most people do juice cleanses for 3- 7 days, but you can go even longer if you like. Some have done 30+ days! Juice cleansing and other detox methods are great to implement during the seasonal changes. Giving your immune system a boost with a juice cleanse or detox, you will protect yourself from seasonal allergies, the flu, colds and other dis-eases.
